To us, providing the safest pharma containers worldwide is not enough. We also do our utmost to reduce CO2 emissions for each shipment.

SkyCell 1500CRT containers have been deployed to ship medicine against fecal impaction in Australia.

These pharmaceutical products are needed to treat people with severe constipation. The medication is temperature-sensitive, shipped from the hot summer temperatures in Germany with 30plus degrees Celsius through the furnace of Arabian summer with 40plus degrees Celsius to the Australian autumn with its relatively cold weather between 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.

Now let’s analyze the CO2 footprint:
A regular transport of one US pallet with a commonly used container would have produced 51.33 tons of CO2 emissions.

According to the independent analysis conducted by the renowned myclimate organization, SkyCell containers save 19.8 tonnes of CO2 on this trip compared with commonly used solutions.

To help you grasp how much 19’800kg of CO2 are: it is equivalent to the emissions of one car driving 132’000 km, more than three times around the globe.

To assess the impact of SkyCell containers on global warming, we have mandated the independent and internationally renowned foundation myclimate to conduct a “Comparative Carbon Footprint Study”.

Experts at myclimate analyzed in detail not only the fuel consumption in air transport on typical routes but also the complete life-cycle of transport containers.
